We've been enjoying some family time this summer, thanks to my husband's new much more family friendly schedule. We headed over to the Air Zoo a little bit ago. I have a ton of pictures to post, but thought I'd play along with a long lost (to me...) meme first!

We are desperately missing spring break already, and very much looking forward to summer!

We made a second trip to the museum during our week off, but brought my mom along for the fun. While we were there, the Booger worked his charm and managed to pick up not, but two toddler girlfriends! They took turns toddling around with him (and after him) for quite a while. So looking forward to teen age years....

Don't mind the sleeve o' drool.. he was getting hungry and apparently my sleeve seemed delicious.

We arrived yesterday after a long overnight drive. He did so well, but was absolutely ready to be out of his seat by the time we approached the strip. After we settled in and ate lunch, we went for a drive to see what there was to see. We have lots to do on our list, but decided to stop at a fun outdoor mall, and just wandered and chatted with the nicest people- all of whom the baby had to wave at.

He's napping now, (he's a little tired since he woke up at 4:30) then we are off to wave at more friendly Florida folks.

Finally, a Tuesday I am prepared for! The Booger's newfound crawling abilities have put the cat at a great disadvantage- gone are the days of watching without fear of lunging, grabbing, and fur-pulling.

Two for Twos day

Deanna at Eight is Great is hosting Two for Twosday. I missed out last week because I was being a slacker...

If you pay any attention to me, I am usually coming up with some crazy way to play along. This week I couldn't come up with anything with the Booger in it- partly because of my slacker-ness in the picture taking arena as well.

So I thought I'd post a picture from pre-Booger days, a rare picture of his daddy and I, as neither one of us much enjoy posing for a picture. It's also rare that a picture comes out without one of us looking crazy. This is one of my favorite pictures of us, and was taken a couple summers ago when we went to Traverse City with my sister and her husband. A very fun trip, that we'd love to take again, but can't imagine that will happen anytime soon with the vast number of children (ok, not really vast compared to some other mommas) we've accumulated since then.

Two for Twosday!

Our family time this weekend made me decide to share a picture of my two favorite boys in the whole world! The Booger's daddy loves the water- being on it, near it, or in it, and I'm sure as the Booger gets older, he will log many hours at the lake (any lake will do!)

This picture if from a while ago when we spent an afternoon at one of the great parks in Portage. There are lots of great parks and trails with playgrounds and courts, we will have lots of fun visiting them all over the next few years!

With my *one* kid, I get a little creative to play along...

Meet the Booger's favorite singing caterpillar. This was one of the first toys he ever 'asked' for. He was playing with other things and got fussy, so I gave him something else, and he still fussed, and reached out to the caterpillar in the bin next to him and tapped it, then looked at me thinking "Duh, mom- I want that!". He loves the little bug on top, it sings the alphabet and hits it over and over and over....

Guess what? It's Twos day again! I just realized how much I've been slacking, since last Twosday was only a couple posts back...





I shared a few zoo pics yesterday, but this one seemed good for today too. It's pretty rare a 6 month old poses perfectly, exactly when you want them to!

Two for Twos-day

Tuesday again! I've been slacking, I know, but I was thoroughly enjoying spending a lazy Sunday with my boys, and running around like crazy yesterday.

Deanna's Two for Twos-day had me searching again...I say this counts!

Two baby hands or (almost) two sets of hands...

The Booger was 'helping' me feed himself dinner- what you see here is a delicious mix of cereal, squash, and prunes covering me, the booger, his bib, his highchair...you get the idea... Watch the whole experience here.

Two for Tuesday (too)

My wonderful sister keeps finding fun things to play along with. Now, Deanna at Eight is Great is ready for pictures of twos... Since I only have one, it was a bit of a search, but then I found this...

I have a wonderful friend who watches the Booger for us while we're at work. They have a Doberman, a Chihuahua and the cutey pie (Hannah) above. All three dogs love him- the little ones even try to hog him, and keep the Doberman away from him! Hannah joined their family just after the Booger joined us, though as you can see, he's got a few pounds on her already. He loves to play with them, and is starting to really want to get up and chase after them. They are blissfully unaware of what's in store once their 'toy' starts moving and grooving!
